Fees, Insurance & Appointments

My current fee is $140 per 50 minute session. Because I understand that psychotherapy is an investment and that these are difficult economic times for many people, I do offer a limited number of lower fee slots. Please feel free to tell me about your particular circumstances and I will negotiate with you to the best of my ability.

At present I also accept a limited number of insurance clients with United Behavioral Health, Megellan and some Blue Shield policies. Please check with your particular insurance to make sure that I am an ‘in network’ provider to be certain of your coverage and to avoid misunderstandings. I can provide monthly ‘super bills’ for clients with PPO policies, which with additional documentation will allow you to bill your insurance and receive payment directly. If we seem like a good match and my insurance slots are full I will be glad to add your name to my waiting list and let you know when an hour becomes available.

I will normally be able to respond to your phone call or email within 24 hours. During the business week I can often respond within several hours. I have the usual 24 hour cancellation policy. What this means is that I hold the hour for you. With less than 24 hours notice I can not offer that time to another person. As a result I will ask you to pay either your regular fee or the contracted insurance rate fee for that session.

I adhere to the standards of my professional license and assure you confidentiality. There are legal exceptions to confidentiality which I will explain in length when we meet.
